Second Wave Apparel/Basic Bra and Panty Set in Satin/Designed By:Sioxie Legend

Sioxie Legend at Second Wave Apparel is right on track with the latest addition to her line up of quality apparel. This translates to finely crafted and detailed lingerie. Her store is filled with beautiful examples of her previous work and I for one, am delighted that she has expanded her line of fine products to include intimate apparel. Sioxie had told me last month that she was going into lingerie design and I humbly got down on my knees and beseeched her for a sample. In about two or three weeks, I received it, and the sample was titled “Basic Bra and Panty Set in Satin”. I was immediately taken in by the refreshing minimalist design approach and the variety of colors. This creation from Second Wave eloquently makes the obvious statement that lingerie need necessarily not be a concoction of wedding cake lace, sheer textures and fluttery diaphanous hemlines to make you feel sexy, pretty and oh so desirable. Though with out a doubt, there is most assuredly a time and place for that. This is the indispensable, intimate, ultra feminine bra and panty set in a classic high cut bikini that no one should be with out in scintillating satin with beautifully crisp lines and curvy contours. The textures are luscious, vibrant and energetic. Colors available are classic black, blue, copper, pink, purple, white and navy all in a single pack. The Basic Bra and Panty Set is “worn daily” intimate apparel; Very practical, sexy and oh so feminine. In a sentence, Designer Sioxie Legend at Second Wave Apparel breaks big with the” Basic Bra and Panty Set” into the competitive arena of feminine intimate apparel. This should, and I predict, will, become a staple of every girl’s inventory.
The shopping experience at Second Wave begins when you arrive in front of the store. The entry way is easily identified. The Second Wave Apparel logo in bright shiny chrome is conspicuously displayed above the main doors which are flanked by glass cupolas. The floor layout is a shoppers dream, compact and contained without being cluttered and claustrophobic. The main center isle runs through the middle of the store with tasteful overhead signage pointing down branching isles to the products you are looking for. All you need to do is turn to your left or right. Contained, compact and uncluttered is the watchword at Second Wave Apparel, all carefully well thought-out to make your shopping experience at SWA rewarding and pleasant.

(As of this writing, Sioxie has added her “Peek-a-Boo Pastels” and “Peek-a-Boo Darks” to her series of bra and panty sets in eye-catching colors and textures sure to please the eye and the senses.)

The “Alix” Review/ Milady's Fancy/Designed By: Rachel Darling

Did you ever see something you just HAD to have. Something that you knew you JUST couldn’t live any longer without? Something or someone that you would be willing to crawl a mile on your hands and knees through broken glass for; just to have the pleasure of standing in their shadow? I met that certain something on a Fashion Consolidated note card.
My heart did triple back flips. My breath came in jerks and spurts. I felt my blood throbbing through my body. I was faint, I trembled. I was in love for the very first time, like a virgin. (Forgive me Madonna Louise Ciccone I couldn’t resist that line.) The object of my affection was a delectable concoction of sequins and lace called “Alix”, designed by Rachel Darling and for sale at Milady’s Fancy in eight fabulous colors, purple. green, teal, blue, hot pink, gold, red and black . Smitten and witless as I had become, I somehow was able to make contact with Rachel who seemed a bit perplexed and amused at my incoherent babbling and confession of undying love and devotion. Eventually my lucidity returned and I was able to make myself understood. I calmly and seriously declared my eternal and everlasting love for her newest creation “Alix”. I humbly asked for a sample and a chance to review it. Rachel was sympathetic and understanding, even supportive! She comp’d me the complete pack. I was overwhelmed.
Words failed me darlings. I cannot begin to tell you of the ecstasy that washed over me in warm surging waves like a rhythmic tsunami. After I had recovered Rachel and I chattered and giggled like school girls. She had been in the middle of a build and needed the break and I wanted to talk about her designs. She was happy to oblige me. She even gave me a sneak preview of her upcoming release and swore me to secrecy.
All good things must come to and end and Rachel had to return to her build and I to my quest across the width and breadth of the Grid in search of fabulous designs and designers like Rachel Darling at Miladys Fancy and her newest creation “Alix”. This one is a hit Rachel!

(And furthermore!)
Later that evening I talked with my good friend Zada Zenokva of “Shapes by Zada” and “Eyefidelity” ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/Triangulum/25/22/27) who makes the most remarkably realistic shapes and eyes in Second Life. (Thank you, thank you Zada! I love my eyes!) Zada said. “Let’s have some fun with “Alix”,… get risky… walk on the wildside!”. She suggested pairing it with some stockings by Armin Weifel at DrawMachine called “Eveningstar nylons, laced red.” and some ankle boots from Armidi. The look most definably had possibilities. Being a poor and struggling writer, I could only afford one or the other, so I went with the stockings and paired it with some classic heels in black by Funk Schnook at Fnky-n-Cake and some twinkle particles from DrawMachines star spangled bikini…… Hmm, the jury is still out. Tell me what you think, Hot or not?

SHADOWICCAN DESIGNS/Shadow Weaver & Wiccan Sojourner "Tempt U"

The shopping experience at Bewitched is unique. The store is a blend of an old pre-revolution French chateaux and a medieval Byzantine church. There are objects d’art placed in an interestingly random manner through out the floor space. Classical statuary is mixed with modern Halloween paraphernalia and comic book super hero costumes. A huge black cat stands in the center of the rotunda, arched and hissing. I had the vague feeling he was watching my every move. The Fleur de Louise is the dominate motif seen repeated on wall paneling in gold and white everywhere, evidence of early French empire influence. Product is grouped by type in rooms that branch off from the central rotunda through low arching entryways. Perhaps if your arrival is timed correctly you will meet the owners, Shadow Weaver, an ancient denizen of Second Life from ‘03 and his lovely partner Wiccan Sojourner. I found them both to be extremely friendly, gracious, and charming, if somewhat eccentric. I was completely enchanted and loath to leave. In summery, Bewitched is a second life shopping experience that is unique as it is unforgettable.

The sample lingerie Called “Tempt U” that ShadoWiccan designs offered for this review is reminiscent of the “get to the point” lingerie one might see in early Playboy Magazine or a James Bond movie. I can easily see Ursula Andress, Jill St.John or Britt Ekland slinking across the sliver screen and steaming it up in this hot early retro 60’s number. Keep in mind darlings it was the era of “the Pill” and “the Sex Revolution”, how the world has changed! The color is sinfully wicked black interspaced with narrow sheer banding with matching high top stockings in our example and we loved it! Other colors of course, are available. The neckline is one exciting feature we found irresistible along with the open arms and high cut leg openings at the hips. This design is sure to raise the temperature of any secret agent or leading man in your life on the stage or in the boudoir and keep him coming back for more. You can see more of “Tempt U” on our cover and as modeled by Ginin Tonic, our lovely centerfold for February.
Sexi Magazine is pleased to bring to you another fabulous offering from ShadoWiccan Desgins created by Shadow Weaver and Wiccan Sojourner.

Insolence review: The Leslie Ensemble

”Insolence,” it has a soft sibilant sound followed by a yielding rounding of the lips, the tongue curves to the roof of the mouth as if to savor something sweet and tart. The word brings me to a place of flaunty hips, naughty glances, stolen moments, lowered soft lashes and bee stung lips, of soft breathy sighs in the humid velvet night, the gentle rise and fall of the bosom. The faint sound of rustling silk and satin, the crisp touch of cotton, the warm intoxicating scent of perfume and desire, of seduction , urgent and so welcomed.
Camilla Yosuke, the designer at Insolence, and her assistant Danielle Astonia, deliver all that and more with the latest release from Insolence, “the Leslie ensemble”, lush gorgeous textures, delicate trim, subtle lace in all the colors of romance. The “Leslie ensemble” is about understated stylishness, classic beauty and design in lingerie. It is timeless, deathless and forever.
The classically narrow bra straps on the demi-bra are a delight. The back band is semi- sheer black verging on almost mocha. The bra cups have a charming, slightly rounded cut to the top. They are trimmed out in captivating black lace with a demure little black bow between them. There is a fetchingly sweet narrow ribbon of black lace sewn diagonally across the cup that directs the eye to the cleft between the breasts. (I added my “enhancer” and got fabulously bountiful cleavage!) The panty is a classic high cut bikini with a semi full back panel that is semi-sheer mocha black that also matches the back bra band. The front panty panel, like the bra cups, is trimmed out in the same captivating black lace. This time, notice that the narrow ribbon of lace, which we previously saw sewn diagonally across the bra cups, is now sewn directly down through the middle of the front panty panel strategically directing the eye and gently dividing the nether region. This is very sexy indeed and oh so naughty! The basic fabric chosen for the front bra and panty panels is a delicately repeated multi-petal tiny floral pattern. Interestingly, this appears to be ever so slightly luminous. The Leslie ensemble is offered in several lovely color themes as well. All of them as delicate as they are lush Slate Blue, Insolence Gold, Sea Green, Insolence Gray, Lavender and Misty Rose. Each color theme includes a pair of dreamy mocha black thigh high stocking. Lace and trim at the tops is repeated here the same way it appears on the bra and panty, delicate, fetchingly sweet, demur and captivating. A truly beautiful creation from Camilla Yosuke at Insolence.

The Insolence shopping experience is second to none. Ambiance is “understated elegance”. The spacious floor plan leads you to and through the products, without inhibiting or trapping you in a maze of vendors or have you bouncing off walls and half empty shelving. Apparel is on the first floor. Skins and related accessories are on the second floor. Lighting is soft and indirect. Interior wall coverings are comforting, calming, marbled gray and white tones, as are the displays. There are shades of beige interspaced with brushed aluminum and glass. Architecture is neo-classical with Spanish arches and Italian style columns prevailing. The floors are white oak, buffed out to a soft reflective glow. Greenery is interspaced through out. The main staircase is centrally located and effortless to ascend and descend. Vendor art is minimalist, easily distinguished as to product and are placed at a reasonable distance from the floor, or as demos on easy to access shelving, not stacked one on the other to the ceiling ad infinitum. The shopping sound track is pleasingly soft jazzy dance. In a sentence,” Insolence,” is second to none and taken all together, a pleasurable, reflective, zen like shopping experience.

DE Designs review/Doc Eldritch "DE’votion"

By: Helke Duettmann

We have all been to DE Design. Every one of us has seen the huge inventory. The awe inspiring staircase that seems to go on forever. The beautiful stone faced flooring with Celtic crosses.. The high cathedral like ceilings. Walls that seem to fade into the distant horizon. Gothic elegance with cyber fantasy mixed in. That is DoC Eldritch’s trade mark style. There is a feeling of permanence, stability and timelessness. DoC Eldritch, the owner, has been here in second life forever. In that time, he has developed a firm understanding of his products and his customers. That understanding is nowhere more evident then in the newest lingerie release by DE design called “DE'votion”. A beautifully inspired babydoll featuring high cut panties and matching thigh high stockings .There is a Babydoll, and Babydoll flex top on undie and shirt layers, as well as the panties on undie and pants layers. The look is “burnt” through velvet and semi-sheer fabric and lace. DoC has managed to give the piece a beautiful 3D effect that can only be described as “realistic”. The fabric seems to “lay”on top of the skin. The flexi top sways and flutters with every move. DE’votion comes in classic black, with rose red colored insets on the bra cups and panty panel. There is also DE’votion “dream red” as well as sumptuous “dream purple”.
The shopping experience is unique to DE Design. DoC does everything on a grand, magnificent scale. Product is everywhere and DE gives you lots of room to shop. No narrow isles or empty shelves here, everything is fully stocked. The vendor art is outstanding. Be prepared to do a lot of moving around, there is a lot to see and don’t miss “DE’votion” on your next trip to DE Design. Your significant other will thank you for it, better yet; get them to buy it for you!

BabyDoll LaFontaine Interview/Sexy Nurse and Geisha

BabyDoll LaFontaine: Hi Helke! Nice to meet you!
Helke:Hi Babydoll! The pleasure is all mine!
So tell me a little about yourself and your products.
BabyDoll LaFontaine: I'm planning on releasing new, higher quality lingerie soon
My focus in the past was the release of affordable lingerie in many colors.
Helke: I saw the the racks of panties. One of the bigger collections I have ever seen!
BabyDoll LaFontaine: There are not just panties in those racks also stockings, pasties
and other little bits that didn’t fit anywhere else, but yes I've made a lot of panties.
Helke: Tell me a little about your early life in SL you obviously had a plan.
BabyDoll LaFontaine: BabyDoll's started off as a little dream. I was making men’s clothing with another account and felt like I was losing touch with my feminine side.
So I went from one end to the next. The school girl was my first outfit. along with the lace basic lingerie set, in 10 colors. To my great surprise, the school girl did really well
and she's still one of my best sellers!
Helke: I’m not surprised…It’s fabulous and I see you have sets now, stockings, corsets, bras and panties. At a glance I saw a huge potential for mix and match.
BabyDoll LaFontaine: Yes, I try to make sure that I have something for everyone.
Sets of the same fabric can all be used together to mix and match and make your own sets.
Helke: Did I mention that you look absolutely stunning darling?
BabyDoll LaFontaine: Thanks! I made this top this morning. I'm not sure if I'll sell my casual clothes though.
Helke: At present, what are your newest releases?
BabyDoll LaFontaine: I had many new releases in October, I made 31 costumes preparing for Halloween and stocking up for the year. All my costumes come with matching lingerie.
Helke: Describe them please.
BabyDoll LaFontaine: Some of the best sellers were sexy angel, sexy red riding hood flight attendants, soda pop girls and wonderland costume.
Helke:Your collection is extensive. The panties fascinated me. So many to choose from! What are some projects for the future?
BabyDoll LaFontaine: I really want to release new lingerie. Higher quality lingerie in fewer colors. I'm going to be releasing a couple new costumes of course, like a Mrs. Clause and naughty elves. I also want to rebuild the store and make everything easier to find.
Helke: How long have you been designing?
BabyDoll LaFontaine: I've been designing here in Second Life a little over a year maybe 15 months now. Before Second Life, I hung out in another virtual world called “There”. That’s where I made my first designs. I had some friends leave “There” for SL. They were telling me how much easier it was to sell things here. So, I gave it a try and was very happy with the results.
Helke: I see the results and I simply adore your product!
BabyDoll LaFontaine: I started off opening up locations in malls until I could buy my first land. There was a startup cost of under $50 USD to pay for mall locations, a place for me to work, and upload fees.
Helke: You are ready to expand again?
BabyDoll LaFontaine: I'm going to be rebuilding my store to reflect my new vision, higher quality, haute couture, I want to put more time into my work. Releases won't be as frequent but you should see a big difference.
Helke: What can we expect in the future as far as design and texture?
BabyDoll LaFontaine: I want to pay much more attention to detailing, the creases, buttons, seams and details of the fabric. I want them to be absolutely perfect.
Helke: Who or what inspired you?
BabyDoll LaFontaine: My boyfriend, he has inspired a lot of my work. His feedback is very important to me.
Helke: Behind every successful woman is a good man?
BabyDoll LaFontaine: (smiles). You mentioned the panties
Helke: That’s what got my attention as soon as I entered the store, they are fabulous.
BabyDoll LaFontaine: The reason I made so many is that I saw a lot of panty events. Now people have lots to pick from of good quality! What you wear or don’t wear, underneath your clothes makes a big difference in how you feel about yourself.
Helke: (smiles) Thank your for your time BabyDoll. Your work is fabulous and we'll see more of each other I’m sure.
BabyDoll LaFontaine: I'm looking forward to it. Have a wonderful day!
Helke:Thank you for the product samples.
Helke: Ciao Darling!

PAUL LAPOINTE Interview and Review/Black Rose and the Bast Line of lingerie

Q: What inspired you to create the "Bast Desire Line" of lingerie?

I want to make women in Second Life feel elegant and sexy. I had become bored with the standard corset-and-panty lingerie sets. They have their place, and I still provide some, but I wanted to offer more. It’s important for me to innovate, to push myself. I like to provide something that is sexy, playful, sinfully wicked, and at the same time elegant and classy. It feels good to offer mix-and-match pieces of lingerie that allow women to create their own elegant, sensual look.

Q: What do you enjoy most about this line?

The customer response was wonderful. Women love the set because of the lines, the flow of the chemise, the cut of the corset, the finishing details. Men love giving it as a gift, knowing it’s beautiful, sexy, and exciting. It’s all about the power of romance. To bring even a little romance to a couple is the best reward I can think of.

Q: How is it unique compared to others?

People have been drawn to the movement of the fabric. Sensuality is just that: appealing to the senses. This set has rich color, striking detail, and soft, flowing fabric, creating the illusion that all your senses are involved.

There are many designers in the highly competitive, exciting world of fashion, but few have the ability to create products that capture one's attention at once. We at SEXI Magazine track down such diamonds in the rough through customer referrals or through diligent detective work in-world or on SLExchange--sometimes even by accident. By this last method--if you can call it that--we discovered Lapointe Design, owned and operated by Paul Lapointe.

Paul does far more than lingerie, but lingerie is our thing at SEXI, so Paul's stunning line of lingerie is what caught our eye immediately. Lapointe Design lingerie is intricately detailed, with the kind of subtle, feminine texturing that would make anyone's head turn.

Lapointe Design's lingerie sports some of the loveliest lace we've seen. Paul prides himself on the lace detail, hand-tooling it flower by flower and fitting it to the body, instead of “just dropping a lace pattern in" as many designers do.

Paul enjoys walking the line between making pieces as sexy as possible and still remaining elegant. For embellishments, he likes to use ruffles as well as feathers, because "they make women feel feminine and sexy." We agree!

Drenched in hand drawn and layered lace, Lapointe Design lingerie has several ready to wear options all in one set and can be worn in different ways, even combined with pants or skirts to wear out for fun in public--as well as for the fun his full lingerie sets no doubt encourage in private. These are “must have” items for any collection and yet again another remarkable offering from designer Paul Lapointe at Lapointe Designs.

Boutique Lovely/Blue Mist Review

I found “Boutique Lovely” very easily in the new “all” search. I had chatted briefly earlier with Lydia Sands the owner and designer . The buzz on the street was that she had one floor of her shop dedicated to lingerie and of course I was thrilled to the depths of my diamond hard little fashionista heart at the thought of a whole floor of lingerie to look over. After a short breathless conversation she TP’d me. I arrived on an attractive stone walkway with little flowers on the boarders of the building, trees and a spacious lawn. The walk way ended at the foot of some beautiful circular steps. From the top of the steps I could see a marvelous pink marble staircase in the middle of the main floor. The first floor wall displayed beautiful tops, dresses, skirts, Jeans, gowns and some very cute hand bags. It was the second floor I wanted to see and at the foot of the stairway was a sign plainly marked “Lingerie”. Up the stairs I went. The second floor walls were covered in luscious lingerie, baby dolls, teddies, bras, panties with or without garters and stockings. I saw two vendors with “new” on them. My heart ran wild, a new release! I was in luck. About that time Lydia Sands TP’d in. After some small talk and discussing her work she recommended a new release to me called “Blue Mist”. I agreed. It was divine. Lydia informed me that originally it was going to be called “Neptune’s Mist” because of the beautiful deep sea blue color and waves of tasteful lace. The panties had a beautiful classic cut to them.

The rear panty panel was classically perfect with just enough left to the imagination and the three quarter cup bra immediately put me in the mind of some of Victoria’s Secret better products. Allso there is a wonderful little shear flutter attached to the hem of the bra band and the panties come with an adorable little shear skirt base of three different lengths and a beautiful pair of thigh high stockings. All in all an exquisite offering reasonably priced from “Lovely Boutique” and designed by Lydia Sands.

Review: The Drawmachine Jan. 08

It started out as just another day in SL. Not much was going on. Fashion emergency wasn’t at its usual entertaining level of cattiness. Whimsy Winx, the one person I know who knows everybody and can give you the LM for anything from Aardvarks to Zebras in second life wasn’t on either. So now it was time to do some exploring. I thought I’d slip over to the Alliance and see what the girls where wearing. Now, these girls know their lingerie Darlings. Their livelihoods depend on looking provocative, desirable and just plain down right sexy. If your looking for apples, you don’t go to a place that sells cabbages right? Well I tarted myself up a bit. Semi sheer tight top ending above my belly, sexy black lacy thong with the top peeking above my waist band , Hot pink hip hugger tights that ended below the knees, pair of shiny retro silver disco platforms that would make Donna Summer envious and glittery makeup with body shimmer. Then, my best teased and blow-dried big, oh so SL, hair style in bleached blonde. Then I drenched myself in bling. The fashionistas would have gleefully and righteously tore me to shreds, pixel by pixel and had me for dinner. I looked the part. I was good to go. I rezzed on the landing and walked down the stairs. The first thing I saw, was the most fabulous, tightest and sexiest sprayed on pair of jeans in knock your socks off eye boggling detail. I had to ask. ”Wherever did you get those jeans Darling?” After a bit of coy hesitation this butterfly of the night told me. “The Drawmachine”. Darlings I was on my way! I rezzed on the main floor and there they were, I forgot all about jeans. Nearby was the most beautiful, detailed and perfectly fitted playsuit/lingerie I have seen in a while! Well I bought the jeans and then I rang up the creator. His name is Armin Wiefel a new German designer, 3D game developer and graphic artist and he is very good! The store is easy to shop in. The vendors are large and catch the eye and full of wonderful examples of his work. Armin is always designing and new products hit the shelf every 2 weeks. I got a sample of the playsuit/lingerie and he also fronted me a little sexy, understated black PVC number with detachable fur trim! The playsuit flaunts an American flag stars and stripes motif. It is sequined and it fits divinely in all the right places and some of the “wrong” ones to. It has sparkly attachments that twinkle and wink like your on stage at the Miss World Pageant and all the spot lights are on you. It’s a must have item Darlings, sure to raise the flag up anyone’s pole in the boudoir or on stage. Now perhaps, just maybe, we can talk him into making one in a Union Jack motif or even Canadian Maple Leaf!
